Movie Review: Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

This isn’t the only movie we have for this weekend but so far it is the only one we’ve had a chance to watch. Picked up Shark Tale for the kids and we’ll be watching that sometime tonight probably, a review will follow.

As for Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, this is a movie I’ve been excited about since I read a feature on it in Wired Magazine about a year ago, before it hit the movie theatres. Every screen of this movie was assembled on a computer. From a technology standpoint it is simply amazing. The acting was filmed on a blue (or green, or whatever color) screen and then digitally positioned into the scene.

As for the story and plot I wasn’t really familiar with it but it wasn’t half bad. The reviews I’ve read didn’t care much for it but I definetly enjoyed this movie.

Overall I give this a four star rating. As I said before, I enjoyed this one.
